So it's prob slightly hard to orientate yourself to what's going on here exactly, but these are all tighter shots of the new West Elm Waterfall Chandelier installed in Disa's Guest Room. The amaze installer who took these pics didn't get any full room action, or any shots of the new light actually turned ON, go figure, but here's what it looks like from West Elm's website all sparkly & shiny:

And let me focus y'all's attention on the oval ceiling medallion AND the oval ceiling plate! Uh huh! The oval medallion is from Udecor & is just giving us ALL KINDS OF LIFE at dayum $18 shut the F$%K YOU dollas! But, "PJ why would you choose an oval medallion for a light fixture that is round in shape"? Good question Terri! Well, Gurl, I thought it'd be fun to highlight the overall shape of the space the light fixture is hanging in. Reminder here's a pulled back shot of the room (obvi before paint job):

And...

You can see this part of the room is more narrow. It's capped off by that amazing bay window which sort of rounds out like an oval on one end & creates that cute headboard bed nook. The rest of the bed runs lengthwise out from that window nook, creating an oval-ish shape overall. I thought it'd be cool to accentuate that with an oval medallion above it. BEYOND CLEVER, right y'all?! Thx Terri! Here's the oval medallion laid out just looking all cute & shiot:

But, the light fixture came with a round ceiling plate (that's the thingy that gets installed right up to the ceiling if you don't opt for a medallion and actually holds your light safely up in place), which would've been odd paired with an oval medallion. So, I ordered an oval ceiling plate from the fine folks at Grand Brass and here it is being sussed out before installation w/the rod that came with the light fixture...I'd say that's pretty SPOT ON Dollbaby!
