The girl is growing UP!

Y'all I've got a new fab 'girl about town' client who wants to get her East Village rental apartment up to more adult speed...of course without sacrificing fun! This gal LOVES wood-- almost all of her existing furniture is wood, neutrals & has a decent-sized one bedroom apt. (considering it IS NYC here) that gets nice light. I'll be focusing the styleslapping on the combo living/dining & bedroom. Here are my design plans:

How chic is Plan A?! I'm giving her subtle hits of color by way of blushy pinks & yellow, hits of blingy gold and sumptuous texture play with varying textiles. Part of our journey together, has been spent pinning on Pinterest, to figure out exactly what her style is...this has been SOOOOOO helpful b/c a picture can often verbalize things/preferences, etc that words just can't. We determined that she's sorta refined boho/gypsy/nomad...and she loved the first plan...but then of course I shared Plan B:

Also tres chic, but for different reasons...I amped up the neutrals here & really went for large hits of graphic, almost tribal patterns. Then there's still the textile texture thang going on which is just 'licious...oh the two benches in each of the plans? One will be used at her existing wood dining table in place of two dining chairs...that table sorta looks like this:

I love me a bench & chair combo at a dining table...esp in a space that the bench can do double duty and be add'l seating for an adjacent room. This is why both of these bench options are upholstered, btw...maximum comfort. And don't panic-- you can treat that upholstery with some scotchguard and it'll be fine. So I know which way client is leaning, which I'll share soon, but I'm curious to know which plan y'all like & why?
